Install Notepadqq from the PPA repository using Terminal

There is another method to install Notepaddqq in ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 by using the snap package.

Now the snap package is available globally to all these versions Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 17.10, and ubuntu 20.04 versions respectively.

The below example is only for ubuntu 20.04 LTS and 18.04 LTS.

1. Just go to the terminal by pressing the Ctrl+Alt+T

2. Once you have entered the terminal just paste the below command in the terminal.

sudo apt-get install snapd snapd-xdg-open

3. The you could be prompted in the new window is snap can be installed directly in the Ubuntu Software Source but the size in the span store of the software is pretty large.

You can also install the notepadqq package by simply applying the below command.

The command is:

snap install notepadqq

Once you have successfully installed simply just use it and enjoy.
