Xiaomi Redmi 12C: MI has now launched a new budget smartphone globally

Xiaomi released the Redmi 12C smartphone in China and is now offering it outside China after three months. Xiaomi Redmi 12C Smartphone price in India is expected to be Rs. 8,390. It is also expected to launch the Xiaomi Redmi 12C on March 30, 2023.

The Xiaomi Redmi 12K comes with a 120p display, Meditec Helio 2 chipset, 50MP primary camera and 5000mAh battery. The device also features LPDDR4X RAM. Also announced earlier in the year in China, the Redmi 12C measures 168.76 x 76.41 x 8.77 mm and weight 192 grams.

The MediaTek Helio G85 chipset is at the heart of the handset, and it has Xiaomi eMMC 5.1 flash storage and LPDDR4X RAM.  It has a MicroSD card reader that supports Xiaomi 1 TB cards. Also, the Redmi 12C sports a Immersive 6.71-inch display with 500 nits peak brightness at 1,650 x 720 pixels and 70% NTSC color space coverage.

The handset packs a 5,000 mAh battery that can be recharged at 10 W via a micro USB port. The Xiaomi Redmi 12C sports a 50 MP and f/1.8 primary camera, a secondary rear-facing QVGA lens and a 5 MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.

The Xiaomi Redmi 12C smartphone can currently be ordered in the UK for around £129, but is available in its Graphite Gray colorway with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. This is also due to some reasons; Xiaomi has not listed the smartphone on its EU websites.

However, the likes of MediaMarkt and MediaWorld have now confirmed retail prices of around €169.99, €179.99 and €199.99 for the 64 GB storage and 128 GB storage variants respectively.
